GRACE, OBEDIENCE & THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

A new adult Sunday School class will be held February 23-March 30. The class is led by both Todd Lowery + Ike Gee in the Lower Warehouse.

While moralism and legalism can be and sometimes is a problem in the church, disobedience and a lack of holiness is also a problem. Growth in our holiness, obedience and faithfulness is necessary for a full, flourishing Christian life; holiness and obedience are vital for our proclamation of the truth to a watching world (evangelism); and lastly, holiness and obedience (not sinless perfection) can increase our assurance of God’s love for us. 

Some questions we will address: 
What is the relationship between the law and the gospel? Are good works necessary for salvation? Is God pleased with all Christians the same, irrespective of their obedience or lack thereof? Does God see sin in believers? What does the Bible mean when it talks about rewards in heaven?

A STUDY OF GALATIANS

Do we need more than Jesus to be saved? Although the Sunday school answer is no, the world is constantly trying to convince us otherwise by offering up additions to the gospel message. Paul’s primary concern for the Galatians is that they will believe these lies and rest in something other than the completed work of Christ. The reality is Jesus plus anything equals nothing. Join us for youth Sunday school this semester as we dive into this deeply relevant letter to the Galatians and walk through Paul's tightly woven argument centered on the hope that in Christ alone, we have everything.

K5 - 5th GRADERS

UPPER WAREHOUSE

Kids aged K5-5th grade, join us each week in our newly redecorated Sunday School classrooms at the top of the hill! We'll begin by studying the last week of Jesus' life, finishing up from our current summer Sunday School lessons. Then, we'll move into a study of God's amazing works through his people from the book of Acts. 

Parents, please bring your kids! 9:15 in the Upper Warehouse kid's hallway. Bring them to learn from wonderful teachers, and fellowship with other kids their own age. Questions? Jill Brannen at jbrannen@redeemerathens.com.

3 + 4 YEAR OLDS

OUTER NURSERY CLASSROOMS

In Sunday school this spring, 3-year-olds will be learning about Jesus’s love for his people, through his miracles, parables, death and resurrection, his ascension, the promised Holy Spirit, and his return one day.  These little ones will gain a firm, biblical foundation upon which future teachers will build. In every lesson they are pointed to Jesus and their need for him.  

Four-year-olds will be learning about Jesus as our Loving Savior. Children will learn that Jesus is our loving Savior who forgives sinners, young and old, and changes their hearts. These young ones will hear that Jesus is God’s King, sent to earth to deliver his people from sin and death. The children will learn of the Savior’s victory over sin and death when he rose from the dead on the third day, according to his promise.  After Jesus ascended to his Father in heaven, he sent his Holy Spirit to enable his children to serve him until his return, when he will take them to be with him forever.  With God’s blessing, may your preschoolers learn that the Lord Jesus Christ is truly the living Savior. May they respond to the message of salvation with faith so that they can say, “I love Jesus. He is my Savior.”
